Insomnium + Omnium Gatherum 10.04.2020, Live-stream Concert

Ich hatte mir frühzeitig ein Online-Ticket gekauft und war auch sehr erwartungsvoll. Der Streaming-Dienstleister hat dann aber allen ein Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Es funktionierte einfach technisch nicht. Die Show wurde dann offline aufgezeichnet und man konnte sie mithilfe des Zugangscodes bis Mitte der darauffolgenden Woche anschauen. Immerhin besser als nichts, denn das Online-Ticket war ja nicht ganz günstig gewesen, und der Weg der Rückerstattung kam für mich auch nicht in Frage. Das Ganze hake ich dann einfach unter der Rubrik "Jeder Anfang ist schwer" ab. Lichttechnisch war das auch nicht unbedingt eine Augenweide, aber der Wille zählt.

Daisy Chapman 04.04.2020, Online gig

Turning an idea into reality - an antidote for the the coronavirus frustration. 

The first online gig of Daisy was an adventure for all sides, but the experiment has succeeded.

Although the original plan was to broadcast at the same time by Facebook and Instagram, but it didn't work due to some technical problems. Daisy started on Instagram. So I missed the first part. No wonder why, I have neither an Instagram nor a Facebook account. Let's forget it!

Daisy played a fine selection of some old songs and a couple of cover songs. She offered us a very personal atmosphere with the concert in her private living room. With a good glass of wine or two :-) Daisy performed very well and chatty - some wrong notes included, which makes her even more likeable.

She wasn't be able to satisfy every wish of the facebook community (I would have liked "Of A Lifetime" too),  but there was an unexpected request through the window from their neighbour. A special highlight was the sweet assistance of her daughter. Oh well, how delightful. 

Somehow I was constantly waiting for the applause after every song, but such a video concert is quite strange. Unfortunately, the streaming was over much too quickly.

I'm waiting patiently for the end of the Corona crisis and finally the hope remains that Daisy will make some shows in autumn... or maybe another online gig.

Jeder fragt sich sicher, warum ich hier nicht in meiner Landessprache schreibe. Ich hatte für März einen Intensivkurs "English Refresher" gebucht, aber der ist  auch wegen Corona abgesagt worden. Da hilft nichts oder man wird selbst kreativ.
